Jiao Gu Lan (Loose-Leaf)

Loose-leaf Jiao Gu Lan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum), harvested wild in southwest China’s remote Guizhou province, where its tradition of consumption originated. Known colloquially as “five-leaf ginseng” (wu ye shen) in Chinese, Jiaogulan shares several phytochemical constituents with ginseng species and has a noticeably similar flavor. Steep in hot water for a sweet-tasting, refreshing golden-green tea.

Our jiaogulan is 100% wildcrafted, with young leaves hand-picked and dried. No pesticides, preservatives, additives, or fertilizers are used either before or after harvest.
