Kalmegh (Andrographis) – Whole Herb

Loose dried Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) herb, wild-harvested in southwest China’s Yunnan province. With an established tradition of use in both India and China, Kalmegh has recently received widespread attention elsewhere for its uses and benefits. Please note that the flavor is extraordinarily bitter.

Our Kalmegh is 100% wildcrafted, and is never exposed to pesticides, preservatives, additives, or fertilizers either before or after harvest. For tea: steep in boiled water for 10 – 15 minutes and sweeten with honey if desired. For full potency powder for use in herbal preparations, grind in an electric coffee or herb grinder.*

*We suggest using a grinder that you set aside for this purpose, or one that you can thoroughly clean. Otherwise, trace amounts of kalmegh may impart a bitter flavor to your coffee or other herbs.
